MISSION TWO: 2026
We Mine Asteroids
Our team is building out our second mission DeepSpace-2, which will be the first ever commercial rendezvous with a body outside the planetary gravity well.
Why Mining Asteroids is the Next Trillion-Dollar Industry
Metal-rich asteroids contain enough platinum group metals (PGMs) to power industries on Earth and beyond.
Terrestrial Mining
- Low Margins: Earth-based PGM mining margins ~7%
- Limited Supply: Global demand for PGMs outweighs supply
- High Costs: Expensive and destructive to our environments
Asteroid Mining
- High Yield: Asteroid PGM margins ~85%
- Metal-Rich: One asteroid could supply Earth for 200 years
- Low Impact: Exponentially lower carbon footprint
DeepSpace-2 is Here
DeepSpace-2 is a new kind of interplanetary spacecraft: low-cost, autonomous, and built to fly often. Launching in the fourth quarter of 2026, DeepSpace-2 will travel millions of kilometers to rendezvous with a near-Earth asteroid.
What We Do
We build low-cost, replicable spacecraft capable of tracking and mining asteroids in deep space.
